Named after the Puget Sound’s color changing resident cephalopod, Giant Pacific Octopus is a warm brown ink with reddish shading on some papers, while on other papers (particularly coated Japanese papers) it becomes purple when applied heavily. Expect purple hues when swatching the ink on Tomoe River, Cosmo, Iroful, and Regalia papers, but when writing on those papers, the ink will remain a dark, cool brown.

Love this ink! It turns different colors on different papers, it flows really well, has tested in F, M, and B nibs, flew nicely in all. Recently got tired of high maintenance shimmering inks, this one behaves and keep it fun

Incredible variance between papers and writing pressure——just like an octopus. Fitting name and a lovely ink. This will bring me joy and thoughts of the Pacific Northwest while writing!
