Penn Cove is an inlet on Whidbey Island in the northern Puget Sound that is famous for its Oysters and Mussels.
Named after the shells of Penn Cove mussels, this ink mostly grey with undertones of purple or blue, depending on the paper, and it will sheen gold when applied heavily.
This is my first ink that is designed to be water resistant! Though surface ink will wash away, ink that is in contact with the paper’s fibers will remain bonded when wet.

Interesting ink, I thought it might be lighter than my usuals, and yet it doesn’t look pale at all. Love to write with it, flows very well, pools nicely in M nib
